Fuck Carpe. I remember when that piece of shit opened a GoFundMe-like fundraiser for legal fees and almost IMMEDIATELY after that, he suddenly started advertising his own personal short code. Them shits aren't cheap.
He's a Paytriot through and through.
Well, Carpe was deplatformed by many platforms. He surely monetized while on them. Like many influencers, they lost their income when BigTech deplatformed them.
But sure, he should still work for free, just to make you happy.
I understand.
I don't think you understand the point.
He solicited donations for legal defense, raising tens of thousands of dollars.
Within the week after raising tens of thousands of dollars, he was pushing a short code for himself. If he had the money for a short code from his personal finances to push his brand, he had the money for legal defense from his personal finances too. Perhaps you don't understand how expensive they really are. Have a look.
I get that you may think he is swell. A lot of people do.
Fuck him.
I do not think YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, etc. should have removed tens of thousands of influencers for Big Tech's political objectives. They wiped out incomes for many, many Patriots and their families, all because they supported Trump.
I have no problem at all with paying for a short code to ensure continued revenue. $1500 is 3 hours of a good attorney's time.
If that shortcode can restore some of the lost revenue it sounds like a good business decision to me.
You seem to be going well out of your way to defend something that I fundamentally see as being unethical. We can agree to disagree about Carpe as a person. I think he's a piece of shit but don't fault you for praising the memefag.
