Giving my "horses" the paste prophylactically and also keeping some on hand in case we get the Coof. Oops... I mean WORMS, of course. Checked on-line at numerous pet/vet med sites and Tractor Supply. All were out of stock. Found it on Amazon at double the price and limited to only one 3-pack per order.
Either people are getting wise and treating their "horses" or the DS is limiting this product to the public.
Anyone else having this problem?
Maybe don't take it if you don't have symptoms if you want it to last? Yes you can take it prophylactically but it's like taking Excedrin before you have a headache, Quercitin and Zinc would be a cheaper and easier to obtain prophylactic.
I agree with this.
In fact, I think it’s more beneficial to get sick, and then crush it with ivermectin+ so that you develop immunity.
That’s basically what happened to me this summer.
Both of us had very bad cases of Covid last October.
We're taking both Quercitin and zinc, along with Vit D and C.
Yeah I kinda wanna tell people about the next best thing... but I don’t feel like the price of it tripling and stock reducing to zero.
Luckily I got my horse 10 tubes of ivermectin last year and still have PLENTY. I grew up in the Amish community and that’s one of the ONLY medicines they take outside of natural herbs and tinctures.
We have a doctor that can look into your eyes, tell you your medical history and medical future. It’s pretty cool stuff.
To clarify, I’m not Amish, just grew up in an Amish neighborhood
Interesting. Thanks for all the info!
Yes. Same here. I'm also in the market for some Panacur-C for a different medical situation with my horse's father. If anyone knows a good source?
Well, supply and demand... How much does a tube cost right now?
I've seen it as high as $30+ per tube. Amazon was approximately $15 per tube.
At tractor supply it’s $6
Sold out here locally.
I have a feeling patriots wiped out the entire inventory. Ludwig Von Mises' "Human Action". People will do what it takes to solve their problems. If they can't get a life-saving medicine from the powers in charge, they will find other ways to procure it. No matter the expense.
Yes I was waiting for another horse person to say something. In the Fall, I use Zimectrim Gold which nobody human should be eating since it’s ivermectin / praziquantel but I looked for a few weeks to find it. When I did the girl at tractor supply told me it’s hard to get because people are stock piling it. I thought she was wrong since we all know to just get Ivermectin but it was really hard to find!
You know there is a liquid version that you can just rub on your arms- I mean your horses legs.
everyone stop taking Ivermectin prophylactically these no need to do that. Dr.Zelinko's prophylactic regiment is really all you need. 100% keep as much Ivermectin on hand as you possibly can and only use it when needed. The company Durvet a leading manufacture of the paste is slammed and is back ordered to wholesalers for at least 2 months! Keep enough on hand for family and possibly friends. I have a feeling we're going to be needing it this winter and there will be no place to get it quickly and doctors are NOT writing scripts for it and a lot of pharmacy's are refusing to fill it. The only people you can rely on is you.
Two weeks ago a local tack and feed had plenty on the shelf. Today... zero and backordered.
Yes but people are stocking up on it, for horses and other mammals.
I just gave my horse a prophylactic dose because he has been hangin* around some vaxxed co workers too much. But yes, save it for when you have symptoms. One of my horses friends had symptoms and he gave him a tube and symptoms resided within 36 hours. My horse is not a doctor!
We.... I mean our horses are around a lot of vaxed people as well.
