We're also paying the price for letting it get this bad. We've been living in comfort and afraid to stand against what evil we knew was there. There's a red pill moment for everyone, and we say that's the moment we became aware, but that's not really true. We always knew something was off. We were just too comfortable and happy to go figure out what that little off thing actually was. That's why so many of us figured it out so much sooner than others.

It's like seeing a crack in your wall. You ignore it for years. You act like you don't see it. When the major problem it alluded to finally reveals itself, you may pretend that no one could have known from some little crack in the wall.

But the crack was there. You didn't check. That's our lesson. Never again.
