Why use the fines of 7? Is it a symbol to punish holiness? Just spit balling with my limited understanding.
I have wondered how they picked such an odd amount too. Most government fines are either factors of 10 ($100, $1000, $10,000), or halves of those. I've never heard of a government fine that involves a 7.
When I was trained for marketing high end Real Estate, we were taught that 7 is a trusted number & to always offer to sellers with a 7 on the end of our number for that reason & when selling to make the initial sales price in marketing end in a 7 for thaf same reason.
It was part of a strategy that worked well for bringing initial masses on booth ends to the table.
Many religious discussions I was taught in my youth touted 7 as a holy number & that is why I suggested it here. Could also be why it is trusted in the US.
