I cant say anything about preparing financially. But preparing for every disaster is the same. You need food, water, and shelter to survive and any disaster threatens those thing. Shelter also includes security, so prepare by storing food, water, and ammo. And you should have a method to procure your own food, water, and shelter. Shelter would also mean warmth from the cold so have a generator you can use to help generate heat.

And you don't need the Covid vax to be prepared for a hurricane!
