I hate to say it but let them fire whoever they want. When it falls apart and the nurses get called back they can ask for more money. Consider it a vacation

My wife was just told to not come in to work for a week (with pay!) because one of her coworkers is sick. An extra week of paid vacation, lol, we'll be at the beach tomorrow.
