Q: why does it seem that i pay tax on damn near everything, to repair roads and bridges, and yet the roads and bridges are still jacked up?
A: because that tax money that i thought was going to roads and bridges, actually gets spent on lots of other things that i would never agree to pay for if given the choice, such as buying a round of shots for the whole world.
Please comment below, with examples of how your tax money is being wasted on stupid shit
When I moved here Gov Rendell gave this city $8M for road repair. Not only was my street not repaired but they keep adding cold patch on it so now the street is higher than the side walk and all that mud run off sits against my house. That was a long time ago. Now they want me to get rid of the weeds coming up through the cold patch in the middle of the street..
But guess what, nothing has changed. We still have potholes, shoulder of streets crumbling down the hill side, Lanes on bridges separated by potholes. One bridge in particular is so bad you can see through the grid to the river below. Then there's the bridge to nowhere. You start walking across and 1/2 way is blocked off. No choice but to turn around. Not even a sign that it ends 1/2 way across.
Go to the town hall and all the big shots are wearing those shiny suits custom made.
Exactly. Code Enforcement pulled up just yesterday. Waiting for my citation.
Used motor oil or old gasoline will easily take care of those weeds, and you can avoid the cost of disposal.
