Looks real to me and I've looked into three calderas, two active, one boiling and the other flowing to the sea lava and exploding into steam and black sand. Truly awesome.
I see what you mean, OP. There's like a perfectly straight line going across the bottom section where the boat is in the water. This doesn't look natural to me.
