So often i read cold and emotionless comments about vaccinated people dying or "getting what they deserve", as if somehow the "other side" doesnt matter. "This is war" some say. Collateral damage is acceptable. It has to be this way for people to SEE.
I get some wont hear or see (we were once like that). But i REFUSE to not care for every life. Most people are not truly evil. Some are. But didnt Jesus leave the 99 to save the 1? Didnt our Father say to love our enemies? We love them by our committment to the truth and our commitments to value every living soul who is made in His image.
I have seen death and cared for the dying. I have a place i tuck those memories away..but i try to always care. I have not failed to do my job because i care. Im not perfect. Its a commitment i made to God and myself. Its more difficult to care. I understand. But what kind of people do we want to be?
Caring doesnt make you weak or less determined. It makes you more determined to fight for life. Caring means you do CPR for an hour or more or rush into a burning building, or fight for a nation.
Caring means you fight for that one life, that one soul who might wake up.
What have we become while we watch our movie and eat our popcorn. I know we laugh and joke, i do too. In the end shouldnt we fight just as hard for the people who dont agree with us? Are we so elite to be a part of "the plan", that we scorn others? Arent we then just like those we scorn if we take that attitude?
Do we find it acceptable to lose even one to the enemie's plans? Do we shrug and turn away? I dont find it acceptable though i know it will happen.
But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you,
I dont believe living on emotions or false compassion. Real compassion is proactive and honest.
I know many churches teach Christians to be passive.
What makes us different is that we do value life..no man left behind. We honor our dead. We protect the innocent. We are the shield for others. We don't use others as a shield for us.
Amen to all that Taz, Be honest then, If we don't fight back where will we be? I value life. These people are stabbing little children and we're supposed to say, Well, what can you do? I say, NO and will back it up. We are not that far away philosophically, I just am a little more pissed off.
I am with you. I have several guns. I know how to use them and will use them if needed.
I am sure you are one of those people who would run into a building to save another and will fight to protect and save. I am with you. I will care. But I will do what I need to. I know my Father will have the rest, if I send someone to him
I am very pissed at what they do. They laughed and spit at Jesus. They tortured Him. Some of those were truly evil. Some were very ignorant, and some like Paul, came around.
Tazz, The Lord Jesus was a special case. He was sent to earth to die for our sins. He loved the little children above all else. I am sure in my heart of hearts that he hates what these people are doing to the children. Not to mention to the faithful. I want to go to my judgement knowing that I fought these MF'ers and did not roll over, including extreme prejudice. Your calling, my calling.
I agree with fighting for what is right. I agree with stopping the enemys plans wherever we can. I agree with you.
What I am talking about is the love we give others when we speak the truth, or stand for what is right, or protect,. I am just saying to guard our hearts so we don't become what we hate.
I am never going to be Jesus. As I said to another poster, I am more a peter. I would have lobed off the ear to protect Jesus. I dont always do the right thing, even when I intend to.
Thank you for all you shared and for your honesty. We fight side by side in truth.
