Why did the media really hate Passion of the Christ?

Does anyone else remember how crazy Hollywood and MSM went about the Passion of the Christ, calling it an semantic movie?

Looking back, what do you believe the cause of their hatred towards this movie were?

I suppose the same reason they hate Christianity. Good vs Evil. The Passion was the pivotal moment in human history when Jesus (God) redeemed His creation from from a fallen world of sin. Hollywood loves sin!
