Thanks. I hadn't thought of this, but I also didn't really think about the why with evergrande. The why doesn't matter as forced slavery and economic manipulation on a global scale is unsustainable and would end violently, anyway. We just need to figure out how to protect ourselves. I'm thinking precious metals more and more (and hard assets that one could pay for or even monetize such as land, so keep cash as well)
