Creature from Jekyll Island, by Edward Griffin (search also his current stuff), has a full account of Nathan Rothschild's deceptively induced profit margin from Wellington's victory (and Rothschild degree of control over the Fed). The logistics of this real historical event were also fictionalized by Aaron Russo to make Eddie Murphy and Dan Aykroyd rich in Trading Places.
