Here's a few issues I've run into with modern movies and TV:

Stars or produced by confirmed or suspected rapists and pedophiles (Spacey, Weinstein, Hanks, etc.)
Contains some kind of perversion (homos, trannies, etc.)
Contains some kind of material meant to destroy the family (fornication, adultery, drugs, disrespecting parents especially fathers)

After all of that, what's left is content produced a long time ago and modern Christian films.
