And I agree with this- that you just said about the WTC buildings and pentagon.
But how in the world did you miss all of the news coverage? Seriously, I got a phone call early am, walked next door to my dad’s and we sat in silence watching it the rest of the day. And then for 3 weeks afterward. And then they took it off, and we were PISSED.
How did you miss the 24/7 televised events? HOW????? It was inescapable!
Sorry I took so long getting back to you. My daughter is about to have a baby and we thought last night was it. It wasn't lol
Back in 2001 when my kids were young ( my daughter at the time was 5 years old. The only daughter out of 6 kids, three adopted) We decided to not have cable tv. We didn't like what was available back then. Now that stuff looks tame.
We did have a local video store which if I remember correctly was called Video Source. So We would get a movie to watch over the weekend.
To be honest that was just part of my life and I assumed that just about everybody else was doing the same thing to protect their kids.
We did have the internet but it was not the same as it is today. There was no social media. If I am remembering correctly at that point we may have still had AOL which was dial up.
I am kind of laughing at myself now because of my assumptions. You posted above that it was televised and I missed almost all of that at the time. In fact up until now I really did not think much about it. Now of course I realize that just about everyone was glued to the TV.
Of course it was on the radio 24x7.
I had 6 kids to take care of at the time. Including 3 new ones that we just adopted (one was my daughter).
So while it was important it was not important enough for me to get cable tv.
So It is possible that something was on tv.
It still does not change the truth. There is no way Jets took down those buildings. They were controlled demos.
I appreciate your response, and it’s admirable what you’ve taken on with the kids and how you chose to raise them. My parents were strict, but not that strict!
It does make more sense now, if you weren’t watching tv to begin with. One of our kid’s best friends didn’t have a tv in the home, and only watched certain movies/series on the internet (before online Netflix and the like), or rented dvds- and they watched those together as a family.
It’s a great way to live, no doubt about it, bc you can’t unsee what you’ve seen, and can’t unlearn what you have learned. You can only try to re-educate your own brain to not think of things in the way you were originally programmed to think!
I feel better after your explanation of that.

God Bless, fren. Thanks for getting back on this!
