Evidence suggests fat soluble vitamins will build up in excess since they aren't expelled very easily. The difference here with D is that the body essentially treats it like a hormone as well so the body removes it in a way differently than all the other fat soluble vitamins. What I wrote is not wrong. I dont want to go drudging up studies or debate, what you said is mostly correct too. Vitamin D is very important.
