Absolutely DO NOT TRY FOR A MEDICAL EXEMPTION
You will get denied.
I recently met with a lawyer who specifically said not to submit a medical AND religious exemption.
ONLY SUBMIT A RELIGIOUS EXEMPTION
Anyone who tells you differently is completely uninformed.
Religion is considered a “protected class” under the civil rights act. Medical stuff is not.
So what you need to do is write a religious exemption in your own words—one that is SINCERE.
Employers can reject your letter if they discover you copy&pasted from a template.
IT MUST BE SINCERE
Please head this warning. My mother in law was rejected because she submitted a medical exemption before her religious exemption. She was fired.
My youngest boy is in the Marines, and he filed for a religious exemption and was immediately handed an essay booklet to fill out on the spot. It was a lot of indepth questions about different religious beliefs. He did his best filling it out, but once it was reviewed he was denied and docked pay for one week. He's currently having a lawyer look at the situation but doesn't want to risk his spot.
Religious beliefs are personal. NO other person or organization has the right or authority to judge them.
Unless you're enlisted I guess.
