Crazy thing is mnay municipal unions are looking to "religious leaders" for approving/denying religious exemptions - when case law is very well settled: religion is individual, not institutional.
A Court cannot "ask the Pope" what Catholicism means to the adherent. The way in which I practice my faith is personal. That is the entire basis for the First Amendment.
