Father Gleeson said despite continual “exhortations” to get the jab from Archbishop Fisher the church was facing some vaccine resistance.
“There are some priests who are saying no, I am not going to be vaccinated,” Father Gleeson said on Doogue’s podcast.
Father Gleeson said while the church respected the individual freedoms around vaccination they were faced with a dilemma.
Due to the church not being a corporation it does not have the power to fire or move priests who want to continue hosting mass while they refuse to get vaccinated.
If the a Church valued sanctity of life as they proclaim, they would not be supporting a shot which used aborted fetal cells either in development or in manufacturing. The Church would also refuse communion to those who support abortion. They would not support a shot, which is not a vaccine, is still under EUA, and has been proven to cause death and life altering side effects. They WOULD back their church members in their request for religious exemptions. Unfortunately the Church doesn’t do any of the above.and has become political, siding with the government in all the bad choices.
Addendum: I know a Catholic brother who was made to take the shot despite having had Covid. He will not take the booster.
