The mess will hurt the criminal politicians and bureaucrats. Perhaps they are waiting for the mess to begin so they can get all the rats flushed out of the shadows.

I heard a prophet say recently that France was going to have a lot of bloodshed and fighting on the streets. I also heard it would get so brutal that it would be hand to hand combat and the police would see that their brothers and sisters are on the other side and then join them.
