Louisville is a BLM heroin shithole with the normal urban sprawl, gang issues that makes it hard to get away from.
Evansville is a methhole but those areas are easy to spot and avoid. Evansville also does not have the srpawl.on the level of a major city, so its a lot easier to find a semi rural area and still have a 30 min drive anywhere in the city.
And from my experience through the 2 areas. Evansville in my opinion is very based compared to Louisville. Even with the meth issues which cover a wide swath in that general geographic region. So, that will be an issue from Cincy to Kansas.
The only real way you find the meth problem Evansville is if you look for it. It’s gotten way better over the years. You’ll see a disproportionate number of people on mopeds because of DUIs, haha.
My brother lives in the Indiana suburbs of Louisville, and I hate going there to see him.
The Evansville area was very good to me growing up. They’ve lost a lot of their home grown corporations which make it hard to find and keep corporate jobs there. If you’re a doctor you’d do great there, huge medical presence.
I went to school at EU and that city is based. Trump held a rally there a couple years ago. I would say the best place to live is closer to Newburgh or on the west side near USI
I lived in the Evansville area for 29 years. For the most part they’re good people. Strong union democrat support - but Trump has made meaningful inroads there.
The surrounding area of Evansville, Warrick County, Posey County and the like are great places to live. I grew up in Warrick County on 10.5 acres, shot whenever I wanted, and people are decent people there.
Evansville has most of the creature comforts you need. It’s also 2-4 hours away from every metropolitan area in the Midwest.

My Fiance lived in Evansville, he has basically described it as a meth hole.
Yes it was the meth Capital and fat capital 4 years ago.... it’s cleaned up a little bit but there are definitely good and bad areas. Like any city
The police are fighting the meth problem but losers love their drugs. The big push to legalize many of them doesn't help.

Has an airport too, and river access
