Flight aware currently shows 8,759+ delays and 2,356 U.S. cancellations on 10/09. JAX International is a civilian-military airport which means delays + cancellations are being reverberated globally? #Jacksonville
Jacksonville is an enroute control center. They handle traffic for the entire southeast, so a controller walk out would force other centers to pick up the load, causing big problems
Her in Europe the Air Traffic Control Centers (ATCC) are divided into sectors, and the Air Traffic Control Officers (ATCO) usually needs a rating to operate in one or more sectors.
What happens if ATCOs walks out? The ones left will have to work as long as they’re allowed based on rest-rules, usually around 2 hours before they need to take the legally mandated break.
The watch supervisor, in cooperation with the central flow management unit will have to calculate the maximum allowed traffic in each sector, and if nobody’s there, that number is 0.
Traffic the needs to reroute through different sectors, ATCCs, bringing the sector capacity up and above the limit, resulting in delays (SLOTs) and cancellations.
If the French, Italian and Spanish ATCOs decides to join their fellow countrymen in their demonstrations against mandates, it will have huge impact on European air traffic.
I’ve seen on the Swedish FAA site, that 70% of Swedish ATCOs are cucked into submission, so I don’t this kind there will be a walkout here.
don’t confuse the tower walking out with Center.....also, maybe they all went to get the shot, and then require 48 hours off duty.....they may have complied but didn’t to increase their vacation pay?

I can't seem to get the link to the actual tweet to work. That's a first.
