Do such bland platitudes still convince the Chinese people? Rejuvenation? Peaceful reunification? Sure, yup, I'm just SURE it will be peaceful....however, the Taiwanese people and their allies in the region also get a vote in the matter. Even if this matter did NOT cause WWIII, the destruction in China and Taiwan (and perhaps Japan too) will be stunning to witness.
