So ive been doing the hotel scene since covud hit. I went to NY last weekend for a break and see whats going on out there. I came back and this place is full of well dressed well groomed black people that dont speak a word of english. Say hi or good morning to them and they dont even acknowledge you, just keep walking by you.
They are definitely out of place for this area. I think the shtf moment may be coming soon here. Thank god im outta here soon.
It was on local news a Jewish organization is taking in 400 Afghanis in Pittsburgh and asking for sponsors. Who knows what Catholic Charities is doing - they keep all secret.
Pgh is already filled with Nepalis; waiting to hear about others. Its a sanctuary city.
ofc
Not NY, in MA.
While I was up in New York I was told some Haitians were going around buying property.i was told the town officials told them they were not welcome there.told them they could buy property.but they'd never be givin so much as an occupancy certificate.
I can't wait to move up there.
I can tell you that where I was,the locals won't allow it. If they don't want you there, you won't be there.and if they let you live there, you had better act right or they'll run you out. My kinda people!
The amount of fuck biden flags and signs there say I did.
Like Coming to America? lol
mfa?
Oh, you mean "Let's Go Brandon, my butt needs wiped!" :-P
I have new neighbors in my apartment complex here in Florida, they don't speak English, I suspect that they are Haitian, there's a man and three women and a bunch of kids, and my complex only goes up to two bedrooms, it's also on the blue collar side of town, and the least expensive I could find while apartment shopping.
Does your local govt. have restrictions on the number of people per bedroom in apartments?
I think there's a rule, but in this neighborhood there's a mind your own business rule too. Plus I'm not sure if they rented more than one apartment, I see them out in the courtyard together, I don't even know which unit, I am usually out on the sun porch with my dogs when I see them. I hear them speaking, it's not english, and it's not spanish, so I'm making an assumption. It's not something I feel I can bring up at the rental office.
French is a language that's pretty easy to know what it is when you hear it if you are familiar with it at all even if you don't speak it, you could listen to a few things online of people speaking French and I bet you could tell if they are speaking it then.
It's really easy to tell, are they speaking a language that sounds like french? If they are speaking Spanish they probably aren't Haitian but if it sounds like French then most likely they are
Definitely not spanish, I have rudimentary spanish skills, as I've picked up quite a bit from coworkers over the years, Florida has a heavy latin population, it definitely could be French, and they have very dark skin, as my friend Leccord from Jamaica used to say, his skin is so black it's blue.
I have neighbors who speak French and came from Cameroon
