Being in the National Guard is not a full-time job. If you are a qualified pilot in the National Guard then it is very likely that your real full-time job is being a pilot.
So the airline is going to fire a pilot for not getting vaccinated and then the National Guard is going to call up the same pilot to replace himself?
So when a member of the National Guard is responsible for medical malpractice who do we get to sue?
Of course, even sadder is when a clinic doesn’t have enough nurses or doctors and so patients don’t get prompt medical treatment and they end up dying.

Good point
Well. They did that for medical. Fired nurses and brought in un”vaxxed” guard members.
