It enhances disease by preventing it. Your body doesn't come into contact with any disease, even the weaker shit like the cold, so when you stop isolating your immune system it's incredibly weakened thus much more susceptible to disease (at least that's how I understand it. Could be wrong).

On the other hand, this relies on masks working so in the end it's all a load of crap anyway.
