21 y.o. Male here, I’m in very good shape and like to spend time outdoors and at the gym as much as possible. I’m trying to decide what to do for work, knowing we are bound for a collapse.
My thoughts are going to college for Construction Management, going into a trade, and even doing real estate or some work online. I know nothing’s perfect but I could use guidance and wisdom from some of you guys
Cheers mates!
I wouldn't advise going to college these days, except for technical fields like biology, medicine, engineering, chemistry or the sciences.
For everything else, don't bother going into debt and getting what may be a worthless "education". For example, I know decent DOG GROOMERS who make far more money than 80% of new college graduates. :>)
I often tell people to look at professions that CAN'T be replaced by cheap foreign labor. One example is... becoming a certified CRANE OPERATOR. They get paid very well for what they do, and no boss (or anyone with common sense) ever wants to upset a crane operator. Also, you are driving a $3 Million rig... and lifting loads that may be worth $1/2 Million. The property owners don't want some guy making $20/hour controlling that crane. They don't mind spending $200 per hour to have a qualified operator on-site.
That's just one example. Another is Certified Electrician. Same reasons.
Find something you want to do, but see if you can become something that isn't easily replaced by an illegal immigrant who will work for $10 per hour. Do something that people are more than willing to pay $$$ for your services.
