I tested positive through LabCorp 9 months after having extremely mild covid. As in just losing taste and smell and my head just felt weird for a few days.
Just remember even if you don’t have antibodies, you likely have memory cells that provide better immunity than the shot for possibly the rest of your life.
I went to the nearest Lab Corp. Can make an appt online and it was covered by BCBS insurance.
Edit: I did not need a Dr.'s referral
I asked my pcp to draw the blood and send it to our local lab.
Just note from the Symbiotica website -
The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act require every CLIA certified COVID-19 testing site to report every diagnostic and screening test result (both positive and negative results) performed to detect SARS-CoV-2 or to diagnose a possible case of COVID-19 (e.g., molecular, antigen, antibody) to the appropriate state or local public health department, based on the individual’s residence. Public health reporting is mandated by law and is not affected by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). HIPAA specifically provides for public health reporting without a patient's authorization or consent.
So no test for me.
Thank you for letting me know.
