Hopefully I wouldn't be desperate enough to EAT airline food.
It's far healthier to bring your own food on domestic flights. Nothing messy or complicated, just simple whole grain bread, soft cheese, simple meats or fruit, peeled hard boiled eggs, etc.. (No yogurt, Apple sauce, soups, drinks)
For example Southwest Airlines policy (when they aren't shut down 😊) :
You can also bring certain items with you into the airplane cabin on Southwest Airlines including any food you intend to eat on the flight, as long as it's in disposable packaging. Solid food items (not liquids or gels) can be transported in either your carry-on or checked bags. Furthermore, can you take food in hand luggage? Food. You can carry cakes, fruit, vegetables, sandwiches and all solid foods in your hand baggage. However, foods in sauces or with a high liquid content (such as sauces, pastes, soups and stews) cannot come through security. The size of container must not exceed 100ml, regardless of the amount contained inside.
That said, bring homemade tacos and tamales. Anything is healthier than airline food.
And maybe this will also make them get rid of all their bag fees.
And maybe make them desperate enough to provide meals again
