True, yet personal new friends is something I have been praying for as I made poor choices in the past and those friends turned out to be not so good and are no longer friends. I have since learned to use more discretion. Still need good godly friends though.
I had the same issue as you. My friends, though I still love them and see them when I can, were just growing distant as life usually does, as well as my faith growing as I sought God. I joined a church and then joined a bible study. It was so painful and embarrassing to do, because I was such an outsider and I had only just come back to Christ. But I'm SO GLAD I stuck with it through the months of awkwardness and discomfort, because now I have a group of real born-again Christians that I can call real friends. I beg you to try the same thing.
It might be painful. You might have to sacrifice time for it. But you might be able to find the community in Christ that you desire if you at least try.
Awesome. I was lucky because immediately upon joining my church, I found there was a new bible study forming, and so I joined right away. Are there any types of life groups, mens/womens groups, bible studies, or other similar groups you can join? Fellowship among other Christians is VITAL, I hope you find what you're looking for. I'll say a prayer for you guys.
