I've been disappointed for a long time about the farmers caving to the ethanol boondoggle; taking the government money for their corn to produce ethanol that provides less BTUs than the BTUs consumed to make it. It's sort of like solar, in that without government subsidies, it wouldn't be "economical" for the companies that do business in it.
