Valid point. I'm just curious what about melanoma and stuff? All virus based or some are and some aren't?

I don't think all cancers are necessarily caused by viruses.

But I think some are.

Some are caused by environmental poisons. (Think cigarettes, or Erin Brokovich).

Skin cancer is caused by sun damage.

So lots of things can damage the body and lead to cancers, and viruses are included in that list of damaging things.
