I haven't read the whole thing (its 900 pages) but from what I have read, there is no mention of it. I have read what I think is the whole account for that time period, and it isn't stated explicitly. It states the numbers, but not the sources.
I don't have any idea if you are wrong. I read it everywhere, there is just no evidence that I can find.
It is plausible that if the Rothschilds owned the National City Bank of Cleveland in 1976 (for which there is evidence) that they also owned it in 1860+. From all that I have found on the Rothschilds I'd say that's likely. But I can't find the evidence to support it.
Its plausible that Rockefeller being the Kingpin of the Cleveland oil refining business, and borrowing all sorts of money (for which there is substantial evidence) that he also borrowed it (or primarily borrowed it) from the National City Bank of Cleveland, but I can't find evidence to support it. I'd love to make that connection. It would mean a lot to my report. It would tie up quite a few things neatly.
Any direct and substantial financial connection between the Rockefellers and the Rothschilds before 1913 would be awesome. If it were the Rockefellers indebted, that would be even better, but any connection before the founding of The Fed would be very useful.
That's a really tough thing to prove. I do have some good solid dirt on the Rothschilds but actual influence in America is really tough.
I have them on a direct relation with Reuters, and likely the initial funder. (He talks about his Great (whatever) grandfathers relationship with Reuter like 10 minutes in. There's also the 125th anniversary plaque commemorating Reuters and the Rothschilds).
I have them on the Bank of England takeover of course, and the indebtedness of the Crown, that ones easy.
I need to find the link between them and Warburg/Kuhn Loeb, though I think I can find that (which puts them at Jekyll Island).
With respect to that, I have a marriage between a Rothschild and a Warburg in 1916, though I need something more substantial.
I have them funding both Napolean and England in that war (I can't find the England one, but its here somewhere).
I have evidence from a newspaper in 1823 that states that several different countries are substantially indebted to them.
I have some evidence that they bought Jerusalem in 1829 (not great evidence, but interesting. The source was well respected at the time).
I have the queen of England basically giving Palestine to the Rothsthilds in 1917.
If you have any other juicy sourced info on them, that would be really helpful.
