True this. The Bible doesn't say "if" you fast it says "when" you fast. It ain't easy but you will become closer to God.

I had never done fasting before a few weeks ago but am on my third fast now and have been feeling a strong connection through prayer while on the fast and after breaking it.

I think in this time when things seem so uncertain (I trust the plan and trust the God wins), we must take direction from the Bible and it says numerous times that when facing danger or in times of need, fasting and prayer are the way to go.
