I shopped at Costco this morning just after it opened. As I’m entering the store I see multiple people leaving with carts carrying a huge pack of TP. Some also had paper towels.
As I was shopping I saw a lot more carts with a big pack of TP (customers are limited to one.) I have been there frequently in the past couple of months and I did not observe this in other trips.
I think normies are starting to wake up about shortages!
The sad irony is that most of those people would rather fight for TP for their bungholes than for freedom.
Ha. Another fan of Beavis and Butthead, as I see. Good times, those were...
The very act of limiting it scares people, and that may be driving the TP purchases more than people being aware of what's actually going on. That said, I hope you're right.
SIGH ..hope he’s right too !
Some prepper in Nebraska probably has stocked corn cobs for the next 30 years, just in case.
With a fresh supply growing yearly wha'd be the point of that?
Ya might run out if a real s*tstorm hits (say, after a week of microwaved burritos)
I've been prepping since 08, you know because of the other Dem pres. I got a room full of TP by buying 1 pack per trip.
During last TP crisis I was in grocery store talking to owner who was telling me people fighting over it. I laughed and hollered out "People buy food. If your family doesnt eat you wont need toilet paper." The owner laughed but the people didnt get it, dumfounded. I'd rather buy meat than TP.
FYI - There are alternatives. I cut up old PJs, t shirts, sweatshirts all 8x8. If thin sewed a couple together. Yes you can use it like we used to have cloth diapers into a diaper pail. 2-I bought a hot water bottle to hang on shower curtain and use as bidet.
Beaners having to clean up themselves after a bad batch of burritos and sour tasting elotes.
My Costco (in WA) was out of TP when I went last Wed. Had a few (20ish) packs of paper towels.
South carolina here. Went to Sam's club yesterday. Noticeably less products on shelves, minus tires.
I just mentioned this on the China Evergrande collapse scenario post, people were going crazy at the Costco by the HD I went to this afternoon it was packed, gas line a block long absolutely nuts!
Deep South Costco family size TP no limit but low stock, paper towel family size limit 2.
Sam's club Cincinnati today. No club brand TP left. Just the Charmin, and it was very low. We were there for other stuff, got plenty of TP at home already. But it did remind me to grab a little extra sugar and flour for the prep stash.
People are panic-buying TP again (PA). The grocery store is limiting TP and paper towels 1 per customer and the shelves were picked over. Other than the yogurt and hot pockets, I haven't noticed any other bare shelves. Bought more frozen veggies, canned items, and shelf-stable milk.
Just after WW2, in the UK I recall using squares of newspaper. It didn't flush easily and left my ass streaky black from the ink.
Muslims use their left hand - allegedly (yuk).
I think that I would resort to the shower head (if no water shortage) and/or a bucket of water and a soft cloth.
