33 My relative is in the hospital with covid and I’m not sure what to do. They won’t let us see him. Any help would be nice thanks! posted 3 years ago by BigDon2020 3 years ago by BigDon2020 +33 / -0 Thanks! 55 comments share 55 comments share save hide report block hide replies
Good that he's refusing it, but since it's the protocol for hospitals, what are they giving him instead?
My brother was in the hospital and had remdesivir given to him because they claim it's an antiviral, but refused the vent.
He was there about 6 days and is now home and doing well.
He is getting dexamethazone
My brother also received this on top of the remdesivir.
The dexamethazone is the steroid and the other is the anti viral. He's was given both.
I hope your relative continues to improve and get back home soon.
Good to know that the vent is the big killer if it come to remdeseveer
Yes, I was very nervous when I found out he was being given remdesivir.
There is a 5 day protocol and a 10 day one. He was given it for 5 days.
So far, there are no bad effects that he's noticed from getting it and we're all hoping it stays this way.
It's been two weeks since he's been home.
So do you think the remdeseveer is good? I am trying to get him HCQ and IVM
No, I don't think it's good, but this is what was given to him.
If your relative has a choice (something my brother didn't have), he should take either HCQ or Ivermectin.
