The thing on Hildebeast’s left wrist/hand more resembles a compression bandage - perhaps from an I.V. Line.
I used to put them on patient’s inner wrists after drawing arterial blood from them. With elderly patients, if puncture sites aren’t held long enough - either manually or with a compression bandage - their blood vessels leak like hell and make for some nasty hematomas.
did u miss the bandage on her right thumb .../?
Probably had a top-up of baby blood while she was there.
I agree with you, under the pink "bracelet" is a square swab type for after a line has been withdrawn, at least that's what it reminds me of.
Don't they take blood from the artery there for testing oxygen/blood for sepsis?
It just looks like the end of the bracelet.
Gonna have to agree with GreenLivesMatter on this one. As a 40 year veteran of county and state fairs, and some hospital visits in-between, guest bracelet is edging ahead.
The white tab is convincing of a cotton patch, until you notice to the right of it is the pink strap it attaches to, it lines up perfectly for a visitor's braclet.
Now, having said that, it is awfully tight for being a bracelet, and off centered (hence the white end sticking up).
My guess is a hospital staff person put it on, they don't like boney witches hands slipping out.
