Have you changed employers? Have you started your own business? Have you gone into hibernation? Early retirement perhaps? Moved back in with parents? Living on the streets? Flipping shitcoins on Uniswap and getting raped by gas fees? Did you cave in and get the injection to provide for your family?
What are you doing? I want to hear stories of hope. I want to hear stories of sorrow.
Getting fired looking for another job in nursing field without vaccine requirement in IL. Might go wait tables for a bit....
We need some of the doctors who left to begin opening up operations for unvaccinated.
What are your options for working outside the system in medicine? From the outside it looks like the government, big hospitals, and insurance providers have things locked down tight. However, I've heard about cash only medical providers that have escaped the system.
Yes I haven't heard much personally yet, but I am hopeful that opportunities will emerge in my career field. Thankful to have 2 little ones to focus on right now. We may be the ones to help in the future those suffering injuries long-term from the vaccine... never know. Keeping the faith 🙏
FYI, Montana (and other states I'm sure) are desperate for temp nurses. In Montana the temps aren't required to jab, even if FT is, and the salaries are outrageous.
Source: I have family in gov't/health care/senior HR there. Not sustainable long term, but good to get work short term, and will probably turn into something later.
