I know a USMC Korean War Combat Vet that was a fireman. He didn't have much of a filter. He worked along side black people and he would say nigger. His chief called him into his office one day because a new black guy complained. He told the black guy if he can't handle being called a nigger, he can't handle pulling burnt corpses of children out of buildings. They worked together for years and years later the black guy told him he was right. The problem isn't racism, the problem is being hypersensitive to every perceived slight.
