I admit it, this topic gets me going every time. I just doesn't sit well with me. I would love to have this conversation with Trump himself. I just have trouble with the logic of continuing to push the jab.
Of course, he isn't really pushing it, he is saying he would sell people on it if he were POTUS, he isn't really imploring us to get it.
I asked a friend of mine while we were discussing this if Trump saying we should get vaxed would change her mind? She said NO. I said there you have it. Trump knows the ones part of this movement have the ability to think for themselves.
I am sure his statements won't change our minds. I just think there are people on the fence that are not as awake as we are that may be swayed. I could be wrong.
It's simple. The left say the right are brainwashed and will do whatever Trump says.
Trump says take the vaccine. The "brainwashed" right say no, the "Free thinking" left hesitate because they're conditioned to reject anything he says, whatever it is.
I fully agree. Even if he is playing “4D chess”, it doesn’t justify the push for these vaccines. A just response would be along the lines of “we’ve created these genetic therapies, and they haven’t met the standards required by any vaccine in history. We’re making them available on an emergency basis to those that want them, but be fully aware that they are experimental and may pose short and long term risks.”
But we haven’t seen that from anyone. I appreciate that he’s stating they should be voluntary, but his language is very much that everyone should take them and we need to be convinced.
He definitely DID push it early on when he made statements that everyone should get it. It is only very recently, and after getting booed by his supporters that he added that we have to have our freedom.
You can make the claim that Trump was(is?) our best President for reasons XYZ and even say there is an unknown reason for his present and prior position on the poison jabs but no one can claim he doesn't know what is in those vials while simultaneously claiming that "he has it all" based on other high level military intelligence he had access to and no one can claim that he never pushed and promoted them for everyone because the simple fact is that he did.
You are crazy if you don’t think his silence and approval of the vaccines haven’t led many on the fence to go schedule their shot, I live in PA. A huge red county that was 85% Trump country in the elections and over 70% of adults here have gotten the jab, what does that tell you?
I think this is part of " some people must be shown" and precipice friend.
Some people actually need to go through the experience themselves and be brought to the brink to actually internalize and find the will to change i.e. not being being a sheep but an actual free thinking person that makes informed logical decisions
I know this from experience. The precipice can fundamentally change people. You can throw out statistics, science and advice to people but until they actually internalize it themselves and make the conscious decision to change and apply it it's meaningless.
I said it above, but I know 5 people who got vaxxed because Trump was pushing it. they were worried it wasn't safe, but trust Trump more than anyone else. They're still fools.
Clearly he thinks people do this - he said exactly that. I have no doubt people trust Trump (I did) and look to him for advice. Remember him talking about Hydroxychloroquine?
Trump knows at least as much, and likely more, about the risks of the vaccines than we do. Do you think Trump would deliberately encourage people to expose themselves to long term health risks?
The reality is, based on the information publicly available, that the long term effects of the vax are unknown. It’s also known that it’s statistically more dangerous to younger people than covid is.
There may be a larger game being played here, but with all the info available to us there is 0 logic to his stance. I’d go as far as to say that unless he has personally verified evidence that the vax is designed to protect us from another weapon that China has yet to release (or some similar situation where this vax protects the greater population from a direct threat) then his actions are culpable in this whole fiasco.
I agree - and, how likely is it the DS is pushing a vax designed to protect us from China? I would say ZERO. Which means he's pushing something deadly and yes he's culpable. He could so easily turn this around! Just say the DS in the FDA, CDC, NIH, etc., are not doing their job and it seems as though there are serious questions that need answered. How hard is that?
Do you think the people reporting vax injuries are lying? Of course we want to believe in Trump. That doesn't negate the demand that we accept reality in front of our faces. I only know one person harmed by the jab so far but a stroke 2 days after injection in an otherwise healthy person is not enough of a coincidence where I'm gonna say "But Trump said they're safe and I know for sure he's a good guy."
There is higher risk for sure, and I myself, don't see the point in assuming this level of risk unless maybe one is of the high risk categories for both covid and the flu. It is absolutely Nazi level to try to force people to assume that level of risk, but Trump is not advocating for any form of mandate or coercion.
My own theory, and that's what it is, is that the vaccines in and of themselves, aren't really maliciously bad. The other two possibilities are that Trump is evil and is actually furthering the DS agenda, or that Trump is naive to the malignancy of the vaccines, does not fit as well with what we observe concerning Trump, his relationship to the People, and his awareness of the world. I know that there is tons of stuff coming out now that we've had some chance to see the vaccines work, but I think at least for right now, my theory most fits with what we observe.
Absolutely. He has the bully pulpit even though he's not president. People will be and have been talked into this because of what he's said. And he's out of office now - why is he pushing it?
Trump taught 80 million Americans to think for themselves and not trust the "elites"
He's playing chess on a level you couldn't fathom, just chill
I admit it, this topic gets me going every time. I just doesn't sit well with me. I would love to have this conversation with Trump himself. I just have trouble with the logic of continuing to push the jab.
Of course, he isn't really pushing it, he is saying he would sell people on it if he were POTUS, he isn't really imploring us to get it.
It's almost like he wants people to think for themselves instead of blindly doing what he tells them.
As long as he keeps talking about my right to not take it... I have zero issues.
I asked a friend of mine while we were discussing this if Trump saying we should get vaxed would change her mind? She said NO. I said there you have it. Trump knows the ones part of this movement have the ability to think for themselves.

I personally know five people who got vaxxed because Trump said the shot was safe.

But some people will listen to him blindly and open themselves up to great longterm health risks.
IT'S BULLSHIT
please introduce me to someone who makes personal health decisions bc Donald Trump told them to
You are crazy if you don’t think his silence and approval of the vaccines haven’t led many on the fence to go schedule their shot, I live in PA. A huge red county that was 85% Trump country in the elections and over 70% of adults here have gotten the jab, what does that tell you?

Some in your state think for themselves & others do not.

Maybe... every other politician is doing it.
The reality is, based on the information publicly available, that the long term effects of the vax are unknown. It’s also known that it’s statistically more dangerous to younger people than covid is.

I would hope not.......
But his continuing push for the jab make ZERO SENSE
Do you think the people reporting vax injuries are lying? Of course we want to believe in Trump. That doesn't negate the demand that we accept reality in front of our faces. Can you explain this? Because this is exactly what's happening.
My own theory, and that's what it is, is that the vaccines in and of themselves, aren't really maliciously bad. Stop with that bullshit
