I’m not getting that they scrapped the mandate. It says “ a plan to put unvaccinated workers with pending exemptions on unpaid leave after the Dec. 8 deadline.” Nothing about if you don’t get vaccinated you won’t get fired. What if you don’t get an approved exemption or just don’t take the vaccine?
Good point made. So, those who reside in Texas should technically not be fired because of Abbotts EO. And SWA is based in TX, but knowing them, they’ll still try to fire. I can’t wait to see how this United and SWA case unfolds in Dallas
My company actually said that if you live in a state where the mandate is illegal it doesn’t matter because Federal Law prevails over State Law. It doesn’t and it’s not a law 🤦🏻♀️
My employer is based in Texas yet they're still pushing this shit. I wonder for how much longer though as our policy is if you're unjabbed you can't go on business trips but they're suddenly asking me to go anyway so we'll see if they're desperate enough to start waiving that policy because even if I did take the poison it'd still be minimum two weeks before I'd be allowed to go anywhere anyway.
They likely can't afford to not having you do whatever function requires you to take business trips. They were probably hoping that you and other employees would run out and get the shot just to avoid pissing off your bosses.

And still requiring new applicants to be jabbed.
