The worst part is that we don't know which timeline we are living in.

Are we in the timeline where cures exist for this poison, or the one where cures do not exist and people must live (die) with their choices?

Is this the rapture we were warned about?

He is referring to the multiverse where there are infinite timeline branches with each decision made. In that theory, there is a reality where each is true.
