Yeah, the crack and pedo shit was to corroborate the cover story that he's a crackhead pedo...

At this point, who knows, nothing can be said for certain. Sure he may have been used, but not as the link is proposing IMO it was more for his name and connections. He's a dipshit crackhead that left his laptop at a repair shop, and instead of picking it up was probably trying to score some crack.
