Relative in hospital with covid pneumonia. Last day of remdesevir use tomorrow and then only dealing with inflammation. High flow O2 70% environment decreased to 40% environment. Has anyone dealt with this before? Please any advice is helpful. This seems like a good sign but would like to know about similar experiences thank you.

I’m a nurse, work with covid. I don’t think you have to worry too much about anything. If she didn’t react badly to the remdesivir I don’t think she will now. Might go home on O2, they will teach you and do everything really. Probably outpatient PT of elderly or even young need this as times. Biggest thing is to stay away from colds or flus and be careful because immune system is low after battling. Lots of nutrition and anything they want to get strength up. Pick out some foods that have high nutritional content and do this by literally offering everything. Fruit bars that are frozen actually have C in them. I highly suggest those vitamin C packets where you mix with water and take daily and also liquid protein so shakes. Tummies don’t digest too well when recovery so powder protein you throw in the blender even with ice cream, or the ready made shakes will get strength up. Lots of fruit. Soups, stews.
God bless you for the positive response. He is improving. Thank you and continued thoughts and prayers 🙏
