If there is shorting going on. The shorts believe that they can force the price lower. Their problem would be volume. if there is too much volume they can't force the price lower without spending massive amounts of money. If they continue to try and force price down (I think they will because of what this represents) they could get caught in a massive short squeeze. Short sellers have to cover by buying the stock back at some point in the future. The higher the price goes the more they lose.

Buying back in the volume they shorted means they have to convince others to sell to them in the same volume. At some point one side of the other will give up. If the shorts give up the price will skyrocket.

I honestly think this is by design. The Trump team knew what these guys would try and they mean to take these people out.

I am betting on that and will just watch the show.
