God created Angels (1/3 of whom rebelled). God also created humans who became corrupted after the fall.

I tend to believe God knew this would happen as he is the beginning and the end. Since he is not restrained by time, he would have understood this would happen.

Also, as unfortunate as it may be, evil is necessary for there to be free will. God did not create robots.... Thank God for that.
