Excess government power is how we got here in the first place. Any further power given to them will just be used against us. Just don't tax and don't give them money by force at all to begin with.

When I suggested that if these uber rich people just take some of the money they use to destroy society and give it away tax free in a lottery, I was slammed for "taking money away from people who made the money". As if I were against capitalism.

I say no.

The money these people have made is ill gotten gains. As much as they would like to claim that capitalism, hard work, and merit afforded them this wealth, it is an illegitimate claim.

These people have gained this wealth through gaming the system. from pulling up the ladder on average people, from raiding retirement funds, from insider trading, from financial maneuvering and crony manipulations. This money is not EARNED. It does not belong to them.

Ergo, it should be cut up and dispersed to people in a fair lottery that will benefit mankind.

As for the elite themselves, there could be made an argument that they should be "cut up" but burned on a pile of horseshit.
