I know not exactly on topic for the board, but I trust most pedes on here more than any doctors or medical people right now. So with that being said, my wife and I are about to being another pure blood into the world and i was wonder if any of the health experts on here can tell me if prenatals are a good idea and if so a good brand to look for. I literally have nearly zero trust for most companies pushing anyhting now days, because they all seemed to be owned by terrible companies.
Sorry again for off topic but happy to share the great news with you frens, and any help is greatly appreciated!!!
Congratulations!!
As with everything, educate yourself. If she has bad morning sickness vitamins can be rough; a good midwife or search can suggest an herbal tea that provides much of what is needed. I took RAW vitamins. If iron is an issue try blackstrap molasses as it won’t bind her up.
Beyond prenatals I could go on and on, quite passionate about this topic.
I would recommend Nourishing Traditions for pregnancy by Sally Fallon (https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/0982338317/ref=dbs_a_w_dp_0982338317). From a labor side I loved Spiritual Midwifery by Ina May Gaskin (https://www.amazon.com/Spiritual-Midwifery-Ina-May-Gaskin/dp/1570671044/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?crid=ITIHGZ4TIOMX&dchild=1&keywords=spiritual+midwifery+by+ina+may+gaskin&qid=1635209247&sprefix=spiritual+midwifery&sr=8-1) as it talked physiology, normal process, importance of mindset and half the book is stories of successful natural births and techniques.
GL and congrats again!
Awesome thank you for the feedback very much appreciate! And thank you overall!!
