David Hann is interviewed about the history of the Democrats and Republicans. Before you say, "But they are the all the same!" just hold that thought.
He is a Republican, and is coming at it from the angle that the Republicans are superior in morality and thought process than Democrats. But he is talking about the entire history of the USA, not the current DNC and RNC, which are basically the same.
He is talking about the people who SUPPORT these parties.
He goes through the history of both parties, and WHY the take certain positions. He talks a lot about slavery -- probably some things you never knew before.
Ultimately, it comes down to some people believe in NATURAL RIGHTS (whether dervied by Mother Nature or by God, depending on your religious views), and some people do NOT believe that rights exist INDEPENDENT of government.
These people who think that the government grants rights have been around since the beginning, and they are the real troublemakers. They are today's socialists and communists.
Of course, the People existed BEFORE the government did, so it is impossible for the government to be the SOURCE of anyone's rights.
But THIS is the fundamental argument. Yet, it is entirely UNSPOKEN when we debate people who disagree with us.
It's a long, 2-hour interview, but well worth a listen when you get some time.
By talking to the pro-vaxx, pro-mask, pro-tyranny people about WHERE RIGHTS COME FROM, maybe we can make some headway.
Rights come BEFORE government, not FROM government. If you are talking with someone who is not religious, just talk about this fact that rights canNOT come FROM government. That is what MUST be pushed into their brainwashed brains in order to get them to understand.
The first few minutes are just chit chat. Go to 9:00 in to get to the real discussion.
Another roundabout way to this conversation is to ask them about their own country's founding documents and the individuals that participated in the american revolution. which side would they have been on?
