Northern cities where southerners feel welcome?

I live in Tennessee and I'm wanting to move up north because I prefer the kind of snowflakes that come from the clouds instead of New York or California. What are some cities that have southern tradition like Tennessee but also has white christmases like upstate New York if there are any?

Live in TN during the winter months and MI in the summer. Love them both. However, I like the governor of TN way better.

True, but MI could use some more logical people. If you really like the snow, northern MIchigan. North of the bridge is real good people too. Dont know why they havent split off from us trolls.
