True not seeing this on Spotify charts
That's because Spotify is for people who don't know what music is.
If you look at the streaming stats they’re really weak on Spotify.
Spotify can and has been manipulating stream counts for years as a way to give artists even less money (when the amount is already astronomically low)
Also, side note but relevant to my point, spotify, apple, and amazon music have banded together and announced that their already ridiculously low revenue given to artists for streams will be lowered significantly in 2023
Okay cool. That’s not what I’m talking about.
I’m saying iTunes top charts are only a measure of song purchases. It bears no indication of National popularity of a song/track/artist. Streaming music is by and large the more popular way that people listen to music, not purchasing individual tracks. If you compare streak counts, you’ll see that comparatively much fewer people are listening to any of the “let’s go Brandon” tracks
